Hi Sherwin ... After commenting on the hoods last night, I attached the hood from the Takumar 105/2.8 to the 43mm lens, and it seems that it will be a very good choice. The hood is quite deep compared to the standard hood, and is deeper than the 50mm hood. Looking only through the viewfinder of the MX, I did not notice any vignetting, although it seemed that there might be some when using a filter. As it was late, and I was tired, I didn't go much further than this cursory exploration. I'll look further into the matter today.
Be careful about tour choice of hoods. If the interior of the hood is not flat, or dull, black, or flocked, it may be prone to reflecting light around, and adding to or causing flare. Stay away from silver hoods that are silver inside as well.
