I'd say try their demos or get a free account with them and see what you like. At least you can do that with joomla and wordpress, I don't know about the other two. I've work with all you listed, except for typo3. I like joomla and wordpress the best, for ease of use. Drupal I used a few years ago, I'm sure it's changed a lot since then. At that time it was more geared toward multi-user setups, that's why I was using it. What do you want to do with the site? Hiring someone to create a website for you can cost a lot of money. But you probably know that.
