It certainly is not. This is a metal lens. All the lens tubes are sturdy 
metal and they are mounted in a thick metal lens body. Only the outer, 
protective cover and lens hood are polycarbonate.
The only polycarbonate lens I'm aware of for the 645 system is the 75/2.8. 
The rest I believe, are all metal lenses.
