Subject: Re: I want to digitize slides
Ken,
What is a quality copy unit for DSLR attachment?
I picked up a cheap one and wasted my money.
I don't have a specific unit in mind, but I was referring to simply a holder
that positioned the slide in front of the lens. I have one that attaches to
a bellows unit that allows cropping in camera with the approiate lens, but
I've seen others that are used without a bellows.
Would you consider direct DSLR use superior or inferior to a dedicated
scanner.
As to outright quality I'd have to go with my Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED
over any DSLR digitizing.
But if you only anticipate a few slides and small file size it may not be
worth the cost to go with a dedicated slide scanner
Sincerely,
Collin Brendemuehl
