My opinion on digital conversion? Bring it on. In my lifetime, I will always be able to buy good quality film. The local shop supply might dwindle, but there will always be mail order retail houses and film production that will support those of us who will refuse to convert. And it will be the quality film that survives, not your local Wal-Mart brand.
Every time someone dumps their darkroom equipment to set up a digital lab, or decides to leave the Pentax line to move into someone else's digital gear, I have the opportunity to buy good used equipment.
