Actually, you're just a bunch of old farts! Hehe, but fun to hang with
nonetheless...
Very progressive old farts I reckon...
Many of you are older than my grandmother would be today, had she
lived past
her 50th birthday...
For what it's worth though, I had to spend an entire week teaching my
then
45 year old mother (she is now 52), how to use a mouse!!
I've been spending a few months teaching my mother, who just turned
90, and father (87) how to use an iPad. The iPad is their very first
computer of *any* sort. I just did not want to have to explain mice
and drivers to them. :-) The main use is for email, but Dad's been
accessing government disability forms on the web too.
Dad has been contacting all his acquaintances for their email
addresses. He's quite gleeful when he gets to tell some of them, "No
email? Get with the times, man!"
Yea, join the late 20th centuary. I've been informed that Yale
University doesn't give out free e-mail addresses to students anymore.
They don't use them. Too old fashioned. Actually I think they're just
being cheap...
