Happy New Year all. Looks like my iMac will be ordered in a day or so with projected delivery on the week of the 7th.
I have been told by a friend of mine, who has a graphics business and uses Mac, as well as 1-2 lister, that i will be able to hook up my iBook to the new iMac and transfer files and programs over. My friend tells me to hook up at start up of the iMac but what I see on the Apple site it does not suggest that. I know i need a firewire adaptor from 400 to 800 but what are the thoughts on migration. I don't want to screw this up. Hopefully programs like PSCS1 and Toast 6 will run on the new OS.
