strangely enough, it isn't. I've seen 2 or 3 partial eclipses from the UK,
and one total eclipse (1999). None of my pictures is as good as Toine's
though. I have a book somewhere about photographing eclipses which gives a
table of when they're visible from different parts of the world. A handy
thing to carry around in case you're captured by cannibals and need to
impress them with your awesome magic powers.
Right! I can hear it now:
"You can't eat me! In just 622 more days I'll use my magic powers to
make a giant dragon come out of the sky 3625 miles from here and swallow
the sun for 22 seconds. Heap *BIG* juju."
Might be able to get 'em laughing so hard that they get the hiccups bad
enough to all have a heart attack.
