Aside from my Digital Pentax, I am the recipient of some of my Dad's
cameras. Included in the lot are a couple of Contaxes and a Leica M4.
The Tessar 50 mm is supposedly good. The M4 has an assortment of lenses
including what can either be described as a cannon or a do-it yourself
SLR. Besides, my PX-20 is feeling left out. I will have to exercise it
as well.
So....I am cosidering buying a bottle of T-Max, a bottle of rapid
fixer and a few rolls of Tri-X to use once I have shot up the ancient 4
rolls of Plus-X I found. I have a couple of Yankee tanks and a single
reel tank and what I think is a 3 reel tank. I will dump the ancient
Microdol down a convenient drain, clean the bottles and be in business,
I think. My scanner will scan 35mm negatives so I don't have to fuss
with my enlarger.
I have a few questions for the group though. If I dump the Microdol
into the town's septic system, will the Treatment Plant blow up or
otherwise stop functioning. Is there a good way to clean out the
plastic and glass (fixer) bottles or should I add to my collection?
Have I lost what's left of my mind. Do I shoot the 15? year old Plus-X
at 125, 64 32 speed? PS my LunaPro still works...I will need a source
for the PX625a cells though.
All suggestions read......some taken!
