I also came across the following and they look nice however the price on
them does not. I am not sure either how comfortable I am with having the

with keeping an eye on where it is and what I may hit it up against.

i've looked at that style but never tried them; skeptical because of how loosely controlled the camera seems to become

I may end up getting the following and only because I discovered yesterday,
from just walking around outside the house with the camera, that the strap
that came with the camera is not comfortable around the back of the neck.

i use a minimal op/tech strap like the "fashion bino" on this page:

(mine is leather at the nylon/neoprene joint, and "OP/TECH" is not printed anywhere, just embossed into the leather); it's been plenty strong, comfortable and durable, carrying k200d and mostly medium-sized lenses like Pentax 16-45, sometimes longer, heavier zooms; it's just starting to fray after about three years of regular use; i carry the camera on my left hip at elbow height and sling the strap across my chest and over the right shoulder; when walking the camera is pretty stable whether on the front, side or back of my hip; on the back of my hip, it is still pretty well protected in crowds by my elbow, and i can keep it away from brush or rocks when scrambling
