The K20D manual says to turn shake reduction off when the camera is on a
tripod.
I have not noticed that forgetting to do so caused any problem with
images I made when the camera was mounted on a tripod. I've had bigger
problems with images I made hand held when I forgot to turn shake
reduction BACK ON after taking the camera off the tripod.

Isn't it general consensus that you should switch shake reduction off
when using a tripod? Or are you handholding that beast? :)

Subject: High Shutter Speed: Shake reduction ON or OFF ?
I won't be able to use the mirror-up/self-timer so there will be
mirror slap followed by a 1/2500th exposure. Does anyone have any
data (or opinions) on whether shake reduction should be ON or OFF?
