I remember hearing something about SDM lenses needing a few minutes to power 
up. That doesn't seem to be true of any of mine. I do make a point of using 
them all from time to time. My 60-250 and 16-50 both get a lot of use just as a 
matter of need. But I make an effort to mount my least-used 50-135 from time to 
time as well, just to give it a workout.
