Boris,
I use #3 and I am happy with it.
I bought it after 17-70mm (Sigma) and 24-60mm (Sigma) as a fixed
aperture standard lens with a useful wide end.
However, I increasingly find myself leaning towards primes. So, it
sees less use than I envisioned. I am even thinking of selling my
10-20mm (sigma) for the DA 15mm ltd.
I use SR of the body. (The stabilized lens does not seem to make me happy).
AF speed is fine and noiseless.

Bulent, thanks for the information. I am a primes guy myself (having all
three FA limiteds, FA 20, A 50/1.2, etc). But I find that I more often
settle for Sigma 24-60 (currently owned) that gives me like 95% of
quality of my primes. Also I need a zoom lens for shooting for Galia's
class and I thought that SDM/HSM would make my life easier.
I am yet to try firmware 1.03 for K-5. May be it will produce miracles
and I will be able to go on living without SDM/HSM lenses like I used to
this far...
