I wonder why Pentax hasn't deigned to offer the 77mm and the 31mm in rangefinder mount. But, be that as it may, with what seems to be a strong interest in "retro" and older style camera gear, perhaps there's a market for the camera style we're discussing. Maybe not - the Nikon S3 didn't do too well, but it was priced very high, and it is a rangefinder, so it was competing with much more reasonably prices "shooters."
But a nicely redone Spotmatic-type camera might be appealing to a large enough number of people that Pentax could make a few bucks, and, perhaps just as important, get some publicity and enhance its reputation.
