Retro? Didn't Pentax invent the modern retro style with the MZ-5? Remember, they replaced those annoying new-fangled buttons with traditional knobs and levers?
And yes, plasticky cameras don't have the quality feel of a metal camera, so I got an MZ-S, which looks, feels, and is a quality camera. However, isn't one aspect of being a traditionalist being a person who doesn't replace his gear every year? I had my MX for 17 years, and I may have my MZ-S just as long, barring some really dramatic innovation, on a par with the introduction of AF. Having said all that, an MX-2 for 2002 sounds kind of interesting, especially with LX build quality, as Graywolf suggested. Let's see if the FM3a actually sells. The magazines like it, but 'critical acclaim' doesn't always assure success in the marketplace. Pat White - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
