Well, I for one believe such cameras are soon utterly dead. Now, or in the very imminent future, nobody would choose film for shooting 8fps. Digital is the way. Shooting a film in three seconds just means that you'll loose all the action since most of the time will be spending changing film; not to mention the film cost. I guess Pentax could come up with something with a max fps rate of 4-5 depending if they are going ahead with the flagship. >For those that have committed to Pentax its up to Pentax to commmit to us >even if such >a camera could be worth $1800 US or $2000 US. I really believe that if they make a 35mm film camera for the next ten years or so they should make a conservative one. Those who want many fps and lots of gizmos will go digital. >We need the faster fps to >capture those fast action shots either in sport or wildlife photography. >An auto focus >80- >200 F2.8 zoom with normal focus (no internal auto focus) would also be a >bonus and its >price tag will not be as high as the current internal focus lense (similar >to the >current 2 >touch Nikon). Remove the power zoom but by God keep the IF feature. Making it non IF will, all things equal, make it a slower focusing lens not to mention what it does to the balance of the outfit. >Another idea and it will be available within time is to bring out a mzs- fd1 >This will be the updated slr mentioned above with a function that lets the >user use >the >camera in digital mode. Maybe we will see some film/digital hybrid in MF but I wouldn't hold my breath for the same thing in 35mm unless it is for a very expensive slr.
