My wife disagrees with you, your picture is better.  The Canon shot is
too over exposed in the foreground and looks like it has been over
sharpened for a misty scene.The sepia tone doesn't help the Canon
image, neither does the large expanses top and bottom of sepia toned
featureless cloud and what looks like builder's rubble due to the
sharpening.

Apart from that given the difference in focal ranges of the lenses
used and the complete inappropriateness of the entire scene for
comparing sharpness, I'd just enjoy using excellent equipment to
photograph beautiful scenery - at present I'm trying to figure out how
I can take a week off work and just drive out of the city with the
only goal of stopping to photograph anything
interesting/beautiful/ugly (in a pleasant way) that I happen to see.
