Don't stop on my account! I meant my remark lightheartedly, but I suspect that you've exhausted all the "what abouts" (low battery, dirty contacts, faulty external component) at this point. It sure sounds busted to me. Oh, have you tried another SD card?
Plus if you wait too long the warranty period will expire. :-) No joke, I came within days of that happening to me. I kept putting off contacting Pentax about my DA* 50-135. When I finally conceded that it was hopeless and looked for the sales slip and warranty info I discovered there were less than 14 days remaining. I saved myself probably a few hundred bucks under the warrant repair. Yikes!
