Hi Ann,
I don't know if you would prefer so much having aperture info and
aperture automation ("A" setting) with newer bodies, but I feel it
comes at a price - in my experience the later, PK-A Adaptall-2 is
quite worse mechanically than the earlier PK adaptall-2 or
adaptall(1). It can wobble a bit, so the contacts can get out of
alignment, loosing the aperture info (and confusing the exposure in
program mode) instantly! I experienced this on SFXn with large
Tamron lens, and the PK-A A-2. The P-K A2 is much better fit in my
   experience.

Also, the PK-A A2 doesn't have the little aperture numbers visible
in the readout window of an LX, KX or MX or K2DMD cameras (a significant
pain for some), and the "A" button is situated in a non-familiar
place, on the bottom left side of lens (about 90 degrees replaced).

   I don't know if I just had a bad working A2 PK-A adapter, but I
sold it and kept the PK adapter, as I felt it fit better.

The PK is also quite cheaper opposed to PKA.

   HTH :)
