Its amazing many of you think its the end of film and its a matter of 2 years till digital takes over completely.
Not many liked my post on the new proposed slr including a 5-7 fps and a fully sealed body that pentax can look at developing. Some say all we need to do is to take digital video footage to get that shot. What utter crap or balony.. Firstly your cheating on the challenge of getting that perfect shot the natural way and secondly True color in comparison with: current topline digital cameras versus top slide film/ pro scanner combo does not exist and the distance between the two is still far apart. For newspapers yes digital is excellent as your dpi is not as high as that used in the glossy magazine industry but when your dealing with glossy magazines who print at a minimum 300 dpi there is no match when you decide to use a digital image instead of the super colored slide. Why if this is the case does Pentax continously bring out new ametuer bodies if those theories on digital are correct?? soon we will have mz1 - 2 -3 -4-5-6-7-8-9-10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-100 etc Why have so many mz series cameras has got me stumped. Its like having a software product with version 1, 1.1, 1.2 etc I think Pentax couldn't be stuffed in looking at rewarding its users with an option of a pro body and why after spending my hard earned cash on good gear should I move to Nikon. I don't think Pentax have ever made such a monster with a fully sealed body and those super fast frame rates and super fast rewind. I could be wrong but never seen such a beast. For those that think your mzs body is dust proof or rain drop proof and is faster than 2.5fps I think you will be disappointed once you realise the truth. Maybe forget my theories and just name a camera after whats intended to be used for...
