One leading photography mag in the UK at least prints a 190dpi, not 300. Dont know about the others, but many pro photographers are now producing work on digital - even for use in high quality calendars!
I disagree with much of the rest of what you said too: I dont think the end of film will be here for a long time, but the end of film for fast sports is already almost upon us. This is not a quality issue, but a practicality issue. And what are you on about with cheating on the challenge of getting the perfect shot. All shooting digital vieo does is up your frame rate from 5-7 to 50 or so. Its the same principal. If you really want to shoot the 'natural' way then what more challenge could you want than 2.5fps in the MZ-S.
