<Its amazing many of you think its the end of film and its a matter <of 2 years till digital <takes over completely. I own many film bodies AND a N**** D1 <Firstly your cheating on the challenge of getting that perfect shot <the natural way and <secondly True color in comparison with: Then do we really need 8 fps?? < current topline digital cameras versus top slide film/ pro scanner <combo does not exist <and the distance between the two is still far apart. My submittion to Tom Rittenhouse's printer challange was from the D1 printed on a Canon S 800.He rated it an F(which is good)He thought the 4x6 version was close to equal to a good 1 hour lab print. <For newspapers yes digital is excellent as your dpi is not as high <as that used in the <glossy magazine industry but when your dealing with glossy magazines w<ho print at a <minimum 300 dpi there is no match when you decide to use a digital <image instead of <the super colored slide. My 5x7's are printed at about 250 ppi,at 5 feet away i bet you canot tell the differemce between the printout and the print <Why if this is the case does Pentax continously bring out new <ametuer bodies if those t<heories on digital are correct?? I think they realize they have missed the boat. <Why have so many mz series cameras has got me stumped. Its like <having a software <product with version 1, 1.1, 1.2 etc Dont know <I think Pentax couldn't be stuffed in looking at rewarding its users <with an option of a pro <body and why after spending my hard earned cash on good gear should <I move to <Nikon. If Pentax comes out with something like the D1.Im there for it.Nikon sold <For those that think your mzs body is dust proof or rain drop proof <and is faster than <2.5fps I think you will be disappointed once you realise the truth. Dust is a MAJOR problem with the SLR type digitals Have a good one Joe - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
