Moin, Thank you for all your advice and comments. I really appreciate it. As I said, I downloaded the trial version of Aperture and I will test it, so far I like the concept and die ideas of it. I also read texts about people who went back to iPhoto.
And then I realized why I need something different. When I sorted my photos just on my file system, I didn't sorted them chronologically but mostly after the general theme of the photos. For example places, events, friends or family. Something I can't really do in iPhoto. I could do it on the file system but this wouldn't be visible in iPhoto. I don't know if I will try Lightroom, too. So, I'm happy to have found something which could replace iPhoto. :-) Thomas P.S.
