Thanks, Jack and Boris. I was so focused on the reflection of the clouds in the water, that I framed the shot more for that than for the flower. As it is, the reflections did not come out as well as I had hoped, but I still kept it a major part of the image, because it was was firmly in my mind before I pressed the shutter release.
I think both of your comments are on point and useful to me. Thanks for taking the time to look at my image, think about it, and give me substantive feedback. Jack, I do not mind at all your effort to recrop and adjust my image. Your version is very interesting and instructive to me. Thanks. I will sit on it for a day or two, then I will go back to the original file and try to do it all over again, keeping in mind what you both have said.
