Thanks Brendan.I was expecting a stop or atop and a half but not 2-3 between the camera and Minolta.Do you use yours in reflective mode at all.Would that get closer to the incamera meters??

First off, forget all about comparing readings with an in-camera meter since there is really no 1:1 corespondence between ambient measurements and in camera meters. I have the same meter and the way I use it is to use the lumisphere (dome) and take two readings. The first is the brightest area of a scene. Do the same for the darkest and then split the difference. In other words, if the brightest highlights read f16 and the deepest shade f4 then go for f8...should be fine. Bracket if you must. Lean more toward the darkest reading for best detail in the darker areas for negative film. Slightly underexpose these areas for chromes. It's a fantastic meter. Should give you years of service. Oh yeah, and the Yashica-mats are great, too! Brendan MacRae - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
