Fuji NPH 400 is like Portra 400NC, and is matched to NPS (160) and NPZ (800). There isn't a 400 speed equivalent of NPC yet, but based on sales I'd imagine that one is in the pipeline. If you need a higher contrast 400 speed neg film from Fuji, Press 400, also known as Superia 800, is quite good for available light, though I believe that it has just been discontinued in 120. Not surprising to me -- I ordered 20 rolls of Superia 400 in 120 when I opened the store, and I ended up shooting 12 of them myself shortly before their expiry date. > I wonder how many customers Fuji loses because people just can't figure > out their freaking naming conventions? I made a sign for the fridge door, because I found that the sales of film dropped when I wasn't on the front counter because no one knew what film did what. > I think that's where my dilemma comes in. Well, it's all about getting the best result in the end. Who knows, though, you may like the Fuji results. I sure do. > Sounds like something microsoft would do. Well, Kodak's specs for their E-6 chemistry make Provia look pretty awful, and Fuji's specs for E-6 make E100 look pretty awful... -Aaron - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
