It has become quite easy to re-adjust into "disaster mode". My father in law is coming to stay this weekend so I'll be interested to see how he finds the experience. At least we don't have to crap in a bucket this time. The other side of town is a different story. People are going to need a lot of resilience to keep bouncing back and it's going to be very interesting to see what the authorities say about the viability of rebuilding on that land.
