You of course meant to say if you want to halt illegal immigration. No one 
wants to halt immigration when it's done  by the book. But wide-open flood 
gates don't work when all factors are taken into account. Yes, some benefit 
from the low=cost labor that illegal immigrants provide, but the country 
suffers long term.
