Thanks for sharing Mark. I know I am not alone in looking forward to your galleries. You didn't ask for comments, but I'll throw some out FWIW. >From this set, the individual shots that particularly caught my eye were >Graffiti in Galway, the Abandoned Farmhouse, Rathlin Island with Fair Head in >the Distance, Inside Bushmill's Distillery, Trees and Roadway (I wish the >figure[?] on the road were a bit closer), Sheep in the Countryside, Happy Days >in Belfast, XXIV, Church Detail 3, and Celtic Whiskey Shop Dublin. Each of >these was quite nice as a stand-alone image and they provided welcome detail >in the midst of the shots of broad sweeping countryside and coastline. Of the three Dunluce Castle shots, I thought the first worked best and would have been enough; of the two Coastline and Natural Arch shots, I thought the first worked best and would have been enough; of the four flowing water shots I thought the first worked best and would have been enough. Apart from these instances of what I saw as redundancy, I thought the gallery as a whole was very very nice. A nice rhythm to the presentation, a nice variation in tone and content of the images, and the set as a whole tells a nice story. You and others may critique the grey sky, the mid-day light, etc. And if you had gone there with the intention of producing gallery-ready fine art, there might be some merit to such critiques. But this is a very fine example of very good "what I did on my vacation" images. stan -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
