I'm cleaning up after photographing a friend's party last night. As often happens, when
it came time to leave, things got "put away" in a manner much closer to
expediency than organization. This means that I have to pretty much unpack everything,
and put it away where it belongs.
The good news is that I have put together a fairly decent sized collection of
lighting stands, tripods etc. Unfortunately, I don't really have a good way of
storing and transporting them. I've been carrying the lighting stand,
umbrellas etc. in a (very) large duffel, but that's not very convenient when
I'm at home. I'm curious whether anybody has come up with some sort of a
brilliantly handy (and cheap) way of storing and carrying these things.
And for that matter, any other sort of camera gear beyond bodies and lenses.
I have Manfrotto tripod bags and a carrying bag made for light-stands.
Folded umbrellas go in the bag with the stands.
The few soft-boxes I own came with their own storage bags. Mostly I
leave the soft boxes assembled, ready to mount a strobe.
