it can also say f-- when the camera is operational; i know f-- to mean "K lens,
adapted lens, or contacts are dirty", but the average user (the one supposedly
"helped" by the bricking behavior) is clearly not going to get the message; as
someone who has conducted a few usability studies, this is a poor design
choice, or more likely a design non-choice due to the feature never getting any
usability scrutiny; if Pentax had thought it worth a few person-hours, they
could have had it display something like "no aperture information from lens:
use custom function 37 for manual aperture"
