As do I. I bought the MX as a less expensive backup to my LX, but the
camera offers so many pluses, that I find it's my first choice in many
situations. I like to use it without a strap and with the 40/2.8 mounted. I
wrap a hand around it and carry it effortlessly. Sometimes I slip it in a
cargo pants pocket. I take it to social gatherings, where it can go
unnoticed.
Speaking of the MX, I just came up from the darkroom. I printed seven
or eight frames from a roll of TMY 400 that I exposed at 1600 in the MX.
The occassion was an informal dinner party with some old and dear friends
who have an infant son. I shot a roll of film at wide open ap and 1/15th
shutter speed in a nearly dark room. The camera was probably a bit more
intrusive than a rangefinder would have been, but it went largely
unnoticed. The prints are very nice. Gentle and subtle. BTW, I'm becoming
quite a fan of the 40/2.8, which I acquired as part of a package and had
intended to sell.. Needless to say, it's no longer for sale. I'll post a
pic from this roll when I have an opportunity to scan one.
