Why not just test the K20D vs the K-x yourself. You have access to both
and you will be the one using the camera. In my opinion the K20 is very
very good but then I stepped up from the D and Ds, though it did take a
while to learn how to get the best exposures for the camera and the most
out of it's raw files.
