Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to share a few photos. Work is so busy; Darrel is constantly
driving me about the city for meetings and whatnot, and in an attempt to keep
up with my photography, I'm trying to become proficient at making pictures
while in the passenger seat of a car, zooming along. I find it challenging to
say the least.

The first two pictures were taken as I walked to an El stop earlier in the
week, but the next six photos were taken this past Friday morning, as Darrel
drove south on Ashland Ave. Our destination was 63rd and Halsted. In Chicago,
there is a strong tradition of storefront churches on the south side, and many
of these photos depict this. I'd love to do a series on this subject.

It's really hard to get composition etc just right when you're whizzing by in a
car, but it's a fun challenge. The last two shots are lakefront scenes when
heading back north along Lake Shore Drive. This time a colleague was driving.

Cheers, Christine
