I think that the submission page is easier than the old one, and it seems faster, even though you now must submit one image at a time. It now automatically lists the type of camera, but not the lens. I was unable to specify the lens, even though there is a place for doing that. I also don't see a means of selecting scanned images.
In the page for viewing accepted images, the thumbnails are larger, allowing you to see more of the image before clicking it for the full size version. The full size image is much larger than on the previous site, and one can even enlarge it further. Very Nice. I thought that the voting page is a big improvement. The old one showed five thumbnails, and if an image doesn't show well in that form, people could vote against it without ever seeing the full size. They now shoe one image at a time, so you get to see the whole image before you can vote, and voting is "thumbs up" or "thumbs down." I find that I moved faster through the images, because I didn't have to click on thumbs to see the entire image. There were also a number of very fine photographs in the sample I had for voting. obviously, some people have been saving up for the relaunch. I was disappointed that my images that were "under review" at the time they shut down the old system have disappeared. Unfortunately, I can't remember which ones I had in that category. On the whole, I think the new site is a major improvement.
