I did some more voting. None of my images came up, so I guess they
have fixed that bug.

Has anyone had any images accepted (or declined) since the restart?
It would be interesting to know.

It seems to me that the selection process is pretty much the same.
The link from the voting page titled "
Vote on Photos > The Power of Your Vote" states that "Our goal is to
receive fair and unbiased input to help in the selection process." I
take that to mean the voting helps but is not the sole element of the
selection process.

Following the link titled "Your Photo Gallery > Understand the
Submission Process" leads to the following:

"2 Artists will approve or deny a photo, based upon technical
proficiency and artistic concept, including compositions, color,
subject & form.
3 If your photo is generally liked and accepted by the community, it
will be publicly displayed in the PENTAX Photo Gallery."

I take that to mean that their panel of artists judges the merit of
images that get the minimum number of votes from "the community," but
that images "generally liked" by the community are accepted without
the expert screening process. Perhaps Dario or someone else with
inside knowledge can be more definitibve.

So far, in any even, I think the new system is a great improvement,
even though not perfect.
