However, according to Dario's response and my own experience, what you say only
works if the 'new' sequence is higher than the older. This is, if the camera
finds a higher number in the card, it changes to this sequence, if the number
found is lower, it doesn't.
And note that, for the camera, the number are only the last four characters of
the file name. This is why, in my case, the camera found an old 20D18501 and
instead of following 20D21500 it switched to 20D28502.
So, Dario's solution is based on reseting the count and make it start again
from 0001, and then apply what you said. This way the number you want will be
always higher and the camera will switch.
