It's easy to scan transparencies with the right equipment. However, you
either need a dedicated film scanner or a flatbed that is a dual purpose
scanner. If the scanner is suitable for transparency scanning, the
software will have a setting for the scanning of positives. Since you're
working with a small original, scan at the highest resolution your
scanner is capable of.
