IIRC, yellowing with age is a known issue with some radioactive Takumar lenses and an be reversed through exposure to UV light (even direct sunlight.) I have a dim recollection of someone on this list describing how he fixed up on of his old lenses with UV light exposure.

Never thought about this but I wonder if any of the old 6x7 Takumar lenses were subject to this. I don't know if they incorporated the radioactive elements or not...
