Who is it, exactly, that is "whining" here?
The guy who shot the video does not strike me as some Luddite who is
railing against digital. He is the owner of both cameras.

I agree that there are a lot of questions regarding the methodology
behind the way the comparison prints were made (as to whether it is
really as fair a comparison as possible). But I think that the bottom
line point he makes is a good one, which has to do with the
quality/cost comparison. The digital setup costs 5x to (in his case)
25x the cost of the medium format film set-up. That would buy a lot of
film and processing.

I'd be interested in seeing a comparison with the K-5 and the 645D
also, but the cost comparison would be even greater (in the case of
the 645D)

The appeal and various advantages of digital is undeniable. But I
think it is good to be reminded that shooting film is still valid for
many people for MANY different reasons. Related:
