True. The results I get from my Sony A850 are far better than those I
get from my Pentax 67 (scanned at 4000 dpi on a film scanner, not
flatbed). With recent sensors the DR is far better than film, too. 

When the motion picture industry goes to digital distribution most
film production lines will shut down and film won't even be an option
for most people.
