Oh wait - yes it does, the 9 series starts with three digits followed by
a blank.

Latest windows incarnations have the ability to discriminate between
numbers and letters, hence they recognize that 48 is a lower number than
2002, instead of just doing the classical alphanumerical sorting of
anything in the name.
