After three tangles or so one flew of farther SW. I tried to catch up,
hoping to find where he had landed. I succeeded, but unfortunately it
was on some extremely high power poles. I placed myself beneath him
and shot through the sunroof. When I realized it was getting too dark
I decided to try using my flash set on manual, which worked decently.

that shot, imperfect as the angle may be, communicates the excitement of seeing it; i've heard they are in a few areas near Denver this year, but all i've seen are sharp-shinned hawks and one bald eagle; maybe we'll go looking for one; thanks for sharing
