IF this is what Pentax does, it's a pretty brilliant PR move. Announce something new a week ahead of CP+ which will get a week's worth of publicity heading up to CP+ (where competitors will also be doing announcements) and that gives the "surprise" additional Pentax product announcement(s) at CP+ even more force. If they are gonna be a radically different company in a year, then I expect two announcements for DSLRs: One above the K-5 and one between the K-r and the K-5. Since the K-5 is allegedly "going away" (which is a decision that I think would premature right now) the top end will effectively be split between two models, and I think there is a good chance that the model above the K-5 is going to be FF.
