Hi all,

Welp! I finally got me one of them there fancy smart chargers for my batteries
-- it's an AccuPower IQ-328, like this one:

It didn't come with a very detailed manual; it came with a folded up piece of
paper telling you how to put the batteries in and push the buttons.

i have no knowledge of that model, but it wasn't hard to find the product page for it, at the bottom of which there is a link to a seemingly detailed PDF manual:

<http://www.accupower.at/iq328_en.php>

looks like a pretty good unit, functionally quite similar to my LaCrosse BC-900 that has done an excellent job of charging, occasional quick-charging, and letting me know when cells are dead

i didn't read that manual, but if you're lucky the default behavior will be a slow charge (better for the cells) and you'll usually just pop the batteries in (possibly in pairs is better) and wait for an indication they are full
Thanks, for that link, Steve!

That's considerably better than the literature that came with it. I'd been to that page before, but somehow missed the PDF link at the bottom. According to the in-box information, it does go into a slow charge by default.
