The SMCP 35/3.5 was my first thought when I saw your question. I never found it difficult to focus with a microprism screen but I've always used mine in strong light. I used to have a Takumar-A 28/2.8 and it was quite soft. IIRC the Takumar lenses with K mount were a budget line. Now I'm getting all nostalgic for my film cameras and manual focus lenses.
