Thanks, Bipin. No, I did not crop this image. This large green sea turtle rose up from underneath me while I was snorkeling, and really was that close. Here is one of the image showing an entire turtle:
http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=15186694 After snorkeling on Molokini, a tiny semi-submerged volcanic crater off the West coast of Maui, we went to a reef known for many turtles. There were dozens who surfaced over a period of about 30 minutes. I was able to swim up and behind several of them and obtain a few images, using a Sea Life underwater compact digital camera.
