It reaffirms that Pentax MF gear is used by professionals. There was never any
issue there. The citation also points up that most hobbiests are interested in
nature photography, but this is only a very small part of professional
photography.
It has nothing to do with recommending equipment to the person on photo.net. I
don't think current offerings are the best she could do for what she wanted to
do and could afford to spend. If you'd like to sell her a 645n for under $500
(her spending limit for the body), she'd be more than happy to try it.
