Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, Larry.

I'm with you on books. Love 'em. I find that videos typically crawl
annoyingly along, as do spoken-word presentations. If I view a video I
often fast-forward it to pick up the pace. At least books on tape can
be sped up with modern players. But they're both useless as
references.

But some people simply can't learn from a book and insist on a video,
or attending a seminar.

You know though, some things can't be explained well in a book and are
a snap to get in a video, like certain posing techniques.

Maybe they should invent a method of publishing where text and video can be seamlessly integrated into one presentation so that a good author could play to the strengths of both...

Here are links to a couple of collections of free videos.

What is wrong with people who use adobe? Is everyone of them, but me,

Training videos have their uses, but you're stuck at the pace the presenter
speaks at, you can't skip forward to find the answer to the question you
have.

Why can't they publish simple written manuals and introductions anymore?

This is the overview of the new features from NAPP -
<http://www.photoshopuser.com/lightroom4>

This is a bunch of tutorials from Adobe. Julieanne Kost is the

presenter.<http://tv.adobe.com/show/getting-started-with-adobe-photoshop-lightroom-4/>

Not free -<http://kelbytraining.com/> released 4 detailed courses,
total about 8 hrs, yesterday. It's a membership site, about
$25/month for non-NAPP members.

Personally, I think it's worth joining for a month just for the
lightroom videos. Of course, if you have time during that month you'd
likely want to view a bunch of the other videos.

Don't lose heart! They might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthily search.
