I don't see what they're confused about. The laws / rules / codes for copyright and plagiarism should cover this medium just as it's covered print, india ink, hieroglyphics, cuneiform and chiseled bits of rock.
The people who are stealing stuff know they're stealing just as the victims know they're being ripped off. Trying to tart it up by calling it aggregation is adding insult to injury by lying as well as thieving.
